Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires a profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.*
These times demand a more considered empathy, they require a new listening and a fresh frame of view through which we assess challenges we cannot understand.
We may feel that a more open and adventurous “I can imagine” or “I wonder if” mindset of discovery can bring far greater value than a tale told of what you once did back then.
